Living with Female Roommates

Grad school life in Seattle has been interesting... On the first day of class in September, met 2 Mexican girls who were exchange students for the quarter. H was around 30 and very outgoing, K was around my age and shyish. They had some problems in the last place they were staying in and a week later K asked if she could move in with me. K was a little pudgy but very cute, just my type and had a great personality actually. Although she was a bit shy before she moved in, we got along right away. On Day 1, I put on a Joanna wang CD and she told me what a romantic I must be. Suddenly I felt shyness dissipating and I felt like I could talk to her about anything. The first weekend, we did our own thing, but then the subsequent weekends, we were spending them 100% together. H must have sensed something and let us alone after one weekend we spent in Vancouver. Soon we just got even closer and more touchy and she started taking interest in my things. She started really liking Asian food, like really. Thai food together.. mmmm. We spent another weekend in Vancouver to eat real Chinese food. She even watched HK movies with me, and I'm not talking about the "Kung Fu Hustle" that everyone sees, but even that Simon Lui film with jokes that most non HK'ers would not get. And how could we not watch Harold and Kumar.

The problem:
She has a boyfriend.

A boyfriend back home she still seemed quite attached to. Some how he found out what we were doing and wasn't too happy about it. I even got friended by this guy on facebook and a somewhat angry sounding message. Of course I rejected this friend request, the only reason behind it so this guy can start tracking me down and watch so I don't do anything "funny" with his girlfriend. Douchebag! One day, she spent half an hour on the phone with this guy to "explain" things. So for the next week and a half until around Thanksgiving, she started becoming a little more standoffish and tried to draw a line on the "friend zone". She already knew I liked her, I'd told her one day and I knew she liked me too. Interestingly enough it didn't last that long and we just got close again... Sleeping together (albeit without the xxx stuff). One night we got invited to some other girl's place to watch a Mexican film and by the time it finished it was 4am already and we didn't wanna walk back in the cold and potentially dangerous night streets, so we just stayed there. That girl offered to let us sleep on separate couches, but K just told her we'd sleep on the same sofa bed. By finals week, we were holding hands when going out. On her last day, one of the professors drove us to Seatac airport. I felt an air of sadness seeing her go and I know she felt the same.

Since then we've been keeping contact on MSN pretty frequently. Finally she admitted she liked me one day, of course still being with her boyfriend and all....

Of course now I'm actually in relationship with a girl a really love and loves me back. And although we are long distance, I wouldn't give her up for anyone...
